Cindy (Rubel) Dell'Anno was inducted into the Upper Iowa University Athletics Hall of Fame as an athlete. She competed for both the softball and women's basketball teams earning three letters in each sport and graduated from Upper Iowa in just three years with a degree in marketing. Dell'Anno led the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in runs batted in as a freshman and earned a spot on the All-IIAC first team as a sophomore outfielder. After completing her final season with the softball team, she was named the team's co-most valuable player. Her name still appears in the Peacock record book thanks to her career batting average of .315 (10th), career slugging percentage of .481 (8th), 21 career doubles (8th) and 5 career triples (7th). On the hardwood, Dell'Anno closed out her three-year career with a 13.6 points/game average as a junior to lead the team; she was also named the teams' Defensive Player of the Year that season. She played for four coaches between the two sports including Kris Fisher and Karla Gavin in softball and Don Mulhern and Linda Olson in basketball.
Dell'Anno works for her local school district and volunteers as a youth softball coach. Her husband, Daryl, is also a Peacock (1993) and former football player for UIU. Together they have three children Shayla, DJ, and Ryker.
